Privacy Policy

ParcelAPI is a machine-to-machine API with no user accounts. We collect as little information as possible.

What we collect

• API keys: we store only a cryptographic hash of your key, never the key itself.
• Usage logs: for each request we record the key's client ID, endpoint, time, records returned and credits charged, for billing and abuse prevention.
• IP addresses: used for rate limiting and trial-abuse limits; where stored, they are kept only as one-way SHA-256 hashes. Our web server may keep short-term technical logs.
• Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We do not receive or store card numbers. Stripe shares with us the payment status and the details you give at checkout (such as email), which we use only to process your purchase, refunds and support. See Stripe's privacy policy.

What we don't do

No advertising, no third-party trackers or analytics on this site, no cookies, and we do not sell your information.

Data in the API

The records served come from public government sources. We do not store or return owner names, owner mailing addresses or personal contact details. If you believe a record should be corrected or removed, email us.

Retention and your rights

Usage and payment records are kept as long as needed for billing, tax and legal purposes. You can ask us to access or delete information associated with your key at [email protected].
